For Burke and Barbie Rice, becoming Legacy Club members was a family decision. The Rices believe in paying it forward, and through their gift they hope other students and families will experience the education, friendships, spiritual growth and mission of Jesuit High School.
All three of Burke and Barbie's sons attended Jesuit, establishing friendships that remain in place today. Brian '84, Blake '86 and Casey '88 are all active in the community. Burke and Barbie's granddaughters are presently in the classes of '17 and '18, and they have three grandsons in the classes of '19 and '20. A fourth grandson hopes to be in the class of '22.
"Jesuit High School prepared our children for life's challenges and lessons and instilled the belief that they should be men and women for others," Burke says. "Our reason for becoming Legacy Club members is to help ensure that Jesuit High School's history, tradition and values of excellence continue to serve tomorrow's generation of Jesuit families."
